The Qualification

Kingsmere College London offers OTHM Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership qualification. It aims to develop strategic management and leadership skills for managers who have the authority and personal attributes to translate organisational strategy into effective operational performance. This qualification reflects current practice in Strategic Management and Leadership and allows learners to develop and expand their high-level understanding of strategic management and leadership in the workplace. This qualification is suitable for mature learners with a background in academic study or industry. The qualification has a clear work-related emphasis on practical skills development alongside theoretical fundamentals.
Successful completion of the Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership qualification will equip learners with the key skills and capabilities to become an effective strategic manager

Who is it for?

This qualification is ideal for individuals who already possess a bachelor’s degree or have significant managerial experience and are looking to deepen their understanding of strategic business practices. The curriculum covers key areas such as strategic management, corporate finance, global marketing, human resource management, and business research, all aimed at enhancing critical thinking, leadership capabilities, and decision-making skills.

  • • A Level 7 qualification is at the same level as a Master’s degree in terms of difficulty/academic level, though it is not automatically a full Master’s degree.
  • • Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (L7DBM) is a 120-credit, postgraduate-level diploma regulated by Ofqual.
  • • It is designed for graduates or experienced professionals.
  • • As an illustration: “A Level 7 Diploma … only becomes a Master’s Degree when you have undertaken the dissertation.”

Unit Information

Candidates must pass any 6 (SIX) units to be awarded the L7 Diploma in Business Management certificate. Each unit is worth 20 credits. The full L7DBM totals 120 credits.

Progression:

Upon completing the 120-credit Postgraduate Level Diploma, students may apply directly to a a global or UK University for the dissertation stage, leading to a full Master’s degree.
